Add Biodiversity to NRW’s remit – update

Our Petition to the National Assembly for Wales to urge the Welsh Government to explicitly include ‘Biodiversity’ when setting their strategic remit to Natural Resources Wales (NRW) has now been submitted. The Petition received over 1,100 signatures and we would like to thank you for adding your signature and promoting the petition wider.

The Petitions Committee, which is a cross-party committee of Assembly Members (AMs), will be meeting on Tuesday 25th February to discuss the petition and the next steps they can take. The agenda for the meeting and the supplementary evidence from the Minister and from INCC can be viewed by clicking here. In addition, the committee meeting will be available to watch live.

This initial committee meeting is normally only the beginning of the process, so please continue to write to you AM to ask them to support the petition and to do more for wildlife.
